If it cannot enter 9008 mode, replacing the eMMC chip (storage) is recommended! 5. Unlocking While Preserving Data: Unlocking the phone requires entering REC (Recovery) mode and using an assistant tool. If the phone cannot enter REC mode, the engineering cable cannot unlock it either! 6. Compatible Models: Suitable for Xiaomi 4S, 4C, 4i, Mi Note, Redmi Note 3, Mi 5 (Note: Not compatible with the upgraded version of Mi 5), Redmi 3; (Important Note): For some newer Xiaomi models (e.g., Mi 5 / 5S / Redmi 4A / Redmi 4 / 3S) running versions above 8.2, the engineering cable cannot force entry into 9008 mode. These require disassembly and short-circuiting specific points on the motherboard first, followed by using the engineering cable for flashing.
